OUR STORY

Hi there! I'm the founder of the Edo-Elysian Collective, Layla Mahjoub. Ever since I was a young girl, I had always wanted to go to art galleries, music shows, and basically anything that had to do with expressing the soul in either splats of paint, polyrhythms, and whatnot; However, I was never able to go due to how far most art galleries were, and that they usually were quite expensive. Entering last year, I had gone to an art gallery for the first time, and immediately dreamed of opening my own someday. That is when I realized, many of the children in my neighborhood today are feeling the same yearning for art and community that I did when I was their age. So during about January of 2024, I had pitched to all my neighborhood friends to start an art-share, a mini-community where both the avant-garde and the minimalistic can intertwine into a shared experience. So now, as we grow, we can't wait to hopefully have you as a contributor to our goal!
